The Void Claw is a special traversal ability available on Rex Infernus in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies. Once activated, it allows you to grapple across the map, escape dangerous situations and reach areas that would otherwise be inaccessible.
Despite being referred to as a Grapple Gun, the Void Claw is not a conventional weapon and cannot be used to damage zombies. Before you can use it, you must first complete the steps required to unlock the Pack-a-Punch machine.

Collect the Void Claw
Once the Pack-a-Punch platform has lowered, look underneath it for an open doorway containing a small pillar with a glowing green orb.
Approach the pillar and interact with the green orb to activate the Void Claw.

The Void Claw will now be available for approximately 30 seconds, allowing you to grapple around Rex Infernus without a limited number of individual uses.
How to Use the Void Claw
While the Void Claw is active, aim towards a valid surface or grapple point and use the ability to pull yourself towards it.

It is particularly useful for:
- Escaping when surrounded by zombies
- Travelling quickly between different sections of the map
- Reaching distant platforms and floating islands
- Avoiding dangerous routes through heavily populated areas
- Repositioning during difficult objectives
The Void Claw does not damage enemies and should be treated entirely as a movement ability.
How to Recharge the Void Claw
The Void Claw expires after approximately 30 seconds.
To use it again, locate another small pillar containing a glowing green orb and interact with it. These activation points can be found in several areas around Rex Infernus, including:
- Underneath the Pack-a-Punch platform
- Above the Pack-a-Punch machine at the Nexus Forge
- Inside the Shadowsmith temples
- On additional pillars positioned around the map
Interacting with one of these green orbs will give you another temporary Void Claw activation.
